2. Catalina Civil War Fort
Catalina Island had a Civil War Barrack constructed at Two Harbors which now stands as the Isthmus Yacht Club. There are rumors that the Civil War building was to be used as a possible concentration camp for Native-Americans. California had become a state in 1850 just 11 years before the Civil War started. This building stood as the Western Most Civil War outpost in the United States.
